Ashes of Our Fathers

This blog celebrates the achievements, heritage, and future of Western civilization. It takes its title from a line in “Horatius at the Bridge,” an epic poem by Thomas Macaulay: “And how can man die better than facing fearful odds, For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his gods?”
